To be able to work 'free' between commissions is always a pleasure.  Almost without exception I do small watercolour images when travelling.  Then, when time permits and the inclination is there, I work them up into oils. It is necessary to have these w/c images as the colours from photographs are never quite the same.  All too often the 'light' is not correct.
A newer idea is to 'see a design' in an image and wish to turn it into a small square using icon painting techniques - egg tempera and different gold leafs.  Some of these are available and some are earmarked for exhibitions during the year.  I have also included some recent works on vellum.
